Hatched
The School of Visual Arts MFA Designer as Author + Entrepreneur thesis project and exhibition is present once a year. A select group of students from that program are tasked with creating a brand and exhibition design to reflect the work, efforts, and creativity of the graduating class. Branding, posters, promotional materials, and motion graphics were all created to build an immersive experience when showcasing the 19 projects within one exhibition.
Branding & Exhibition Design
Design Priorities
The brand “Hatched: New Ventures in Entrepreneurial Design” utilized strong patterns and simplistic typography to display optical illusions. This aesthetic was a reflection of the 19 students and their thesis projects that had transformed over the 2-year program. Along with the branding, the team was tasked with promotional assets and an interactive portion of the exhibition which had an interactive display of the Hatched patterns and shapes, while adjacent to a looped real of the thesis projects.
